I hired Budget Auto Shipping to pick up and deliver a car once the deal was done. I did not proceed with the car deal and cancelled them from picking it up. I had some issues with them at first when I tried to get my deposit back. Before a deposit was given I was told by the sales person I would get my deposit back as long as I cancelled within three days of the scheduled pick up date. I cancelled 11 days before the scheduled pick up date; but when I sent the email to get my refund for the deposit no one ever contacted me. I called them the next day, 11-7-08, and was told I wasn't getting any of my refund back. I was contacted by the owner on 11-10-08 with an apology. We came to a compromise about the refund. I was able to get half of my deposit back. They were still getting charged $200 dollars from the trucking company they hired to pick up the car, so I believe this was very fair of them to give me half of my deposit back. I would recommend finishing the deal before giving any type of deposit with any company.
