It all started when I received a quote for $870 to transport my car from Florida to California. I agreed to the price Spoke to Don McDowell who required me to put a $290 deposit on a credit card. After a week of not receiving any additional info or a contract I got a call saying they had a truck available. I confirmed the price and asked for a contract which he sent via docusign. I was having trouble finding the total price we had confirmed and was told it was only for the deposit and the total would be $870. I refused to sign until I had something in writing saying the total so Don McDowell sent me an email stating, "Thank you for placing your order with us. Our goal is your complete satisfaction. We understand that your 2019 HYUNDAI IONIQ HYBRID will be available for pickup on or after 07/12/21. You should hear from us soon to arrange for shipping, and we are here to answer your questions from 8am to 5pm Pacific Time. The price to ship your 2019 HYUNDAI IONIQ HYBRID on Open carrier is $870" While the email was being sent he kept pushing me to just sign it everything is fine, etc. After I saw the email I signed the docusign contract. Upon printing it out I saw a note saying the $290 deposit was their flat fee and I would owe the carrier $1,200 upon delivery. I immediately called and got assurance from Don that there was a mistake and he would have dispatch fix it. Two days later I had to call and ask for a revised contract. I received a new contract this time saying I would owe $1,000. I said that makes the $870 quote $1,290. Don McDowell told me the $290 was just a deposit and the total would be $1,000 because the carrier that was available would only agree to take the car for that amount. I agreed to the $1,000 and signed the new contract. After my car was picked up I received a $290 charge to my credit card, 4 days later the carrier contacted me wanting to drop the car 50 miles away and informed me that I would need to bring $1,200 cash to get the car. I explained the contract and that I only expected to pay $1,000. The carrier said that was between me and Big Bens Auto but he would discount $100 for the revised drop-off. I have tried calling and emailing Big Ben's but they won't take or return my calls and have not returned my emails. Don't trust this company!!!
