Week late and horrible driver

Was on tight timeline, was assured that it would not be a problem to get car picked up within a 2or 3 day window. It did not get picked up for a week, could not get a driver to take it even though going major city. Customer service was good and they seemed like they working diligently get it done, at end day we had leave the car to friends and go on with our move. Huge failure on Autostar.

But my main issue wasn't with Autostar but with that driver they assigned. That guy was horrible and I giving him benefit of doubt. He did not communicate with us at all. We tried endlessly to get a hold of him to simply give us a time to pick up vehicle, then he said he call when he was close to arriving. So, reality is he just showed up, no call, just said where your vehicle as if we had not been calling. He would not answer his phone. Once he picked up the vehicle, same issue, he would did not meet his own timeline, then guess what, big shock, he fell off the grid again and couldn't be reached. Then in classic form, popped out of nowhere at the designated place and acted as if he were in hurry to offload, since we were inconviencing him. He had such a thick middle eastern accent, I guess much was lost in translation and his lack of using the phone.

He also tried not honor the written contract price, wanted more money than was on the contract, had get Autostar to call him when he threatened keep my car. Autostar told him he was wrong. My next step was law enforcement. He needs to be fired. Unreliable, stressful. This coming from military family that use to moving many times. Beware of Autostar drivers.
