In response to Angels moving Autos , The carrier based their claim
that the mirror was damaged on a shadow in a reflection on a window,
not on a actual determination that the mirror was cracked. Clearly
they were looking for an excuse to avoid paying the claim.
The carrier was CAA transport who if you look on their
reviews you will find that they have a history of denying claims
and claiming prior damage. The claim was not submitted to
the transporters insurance carrier but was just denied.
While it is true that Dinah spent time trying to get the claim
resolved in the end I received neither any money nor any
response from her as to the resolution of the claim.
The only conclusion that I could reach was that
she chose to believe the transporter, no matter
how flimsy their claim over a customer who
under the circumstances would not use her again.

Dear Ron, we are sorry that you feel this way. However, the carrier took pictures of the vehicle at the time of pickup. The damage on the mirror was clearly obvious in the photos. As the broker, we do everything we can to protect our customers when damages occur, but are limited to the resources we have. The pictures that CAA had clearly showed the mirror was damaged on pickup, therefore the insurance company would not process a claim. It is as simple as that.
