I had never hired an auto transport company before so I researched and read many reviews and received numerous quotes. Although ANGELS MOVING AUTOS was efficient and pleasant while placing the order, we had a few glitches. I hired Angels to transport my car from Connecticut to California in early August '07. The carrier they brokered out to was PIONEER AUTO EXPRESS. The communication was poor prior to pick-up. Pioneer switched drivers at least twice somewhere while crossing the country but failed to inform me of this. When the car was received by me, who was also there for the pick-up, there was an entire duffle bag missing, which contained over $1000. worth of DVDs and CDs. The other two duffles in the car that were filled with clothes and shoes were riffled through. I notified the driver and carrier while they were still on the premises and he directed me to Harry, who is supposedly an ex LAPD cop. Harry assured me that he would be contacting the company's insurance carrier to make a claim. However, upon follow-up with Harry, he said that Pioneer was not liable for the loss as stated in their contract and offered no compensation whatsoever.

I also notified Angels Moving Autos who reiterated the same thing. However, let me be clear that in placing the order Angels said their drivers allow bags to be put in the car up to 150 pounds. As we were under the impression that the same driver who picked up the car would also be delivering the car (obviously not the case), we felt comfortable in sending the above items. Neither Pioneer nor Angels ever informed us that there would be numerous drivers.

Politeness is one thing. Honesty is another. Somewhere along the route from Connecticut to California one of two things happened. Either the Pioneer driver or his/her companion stole from our car or he/she left the door unlocked and someone else stole from the car. Either way, neither Pioneer nor Angels have taken any responsibility in either reimbursing us or even issuing any kind of an apology.

I would never use either of these companies again.

Rachel We are so sorry your items were stolen from your car. However, we inform our customers over and over again about the importance of not shipping any personal items in a car. You signed a contract with us that stated we do not cover anything that happens to personal items in the car, nor will the carrier. We did provide you with excellent service, and did all we could do about your stolen items. We did everything you contracted us to do on this order, I am sorry you feel you were lied to, however our office was very apologetic, we took the time to listen to you and how upset you were, however, there was nothing we could do to help you.
