It was explained that the majority of companies that ship cars are brokers. Graham explained everything to me and gave me a starting price of around 600. This price has to be negotiated between amerifreight and a towing company. I asked him what the max price it could turn into could be and he told me 900. When all was said and done it was 825. Which was still cheaper than three other companies I had contacted. I was never locked in so when i was told the price to get it done I had the decision to make of yes or no . Another deciding factor for me was their office happened to be only 2 miles from where the car was being delivered. Hell of a coincidence but also one of my deciding factors. on delivery it was noted that there was an oil leak which turned out to be power steering fluid. We had attempted to tow it prior to amerifreight by using a van and towbar. The car is a 1978 ranchero and apparently without the power steering pump going it sloshed fluid everywhere. Car arrived on time in the same condition I left it in. All of the belonging where in tact including the drive shaft and bumper which were in the bed. I'd recommend amerifreight for the following reasons, They assure the driver and company is insured, They work in a timely fashion with a fast response time to missed calls or emails. They are also the cheapest I found. The best bang for your buck in my opinion.
