I bought a car from a guy I've never met and had never seen the car in person and I had never shipped a vehicle before so this whole experience was sort of a "leap of faith." Amerifreight had great reviews and seemed reputable, so I decided to try them. They quoted me a total shipping cost of right under $1000, but since that bid didn't attract any carriers for about two weeks, I had to be willing to raise the offer. The next day I received a call saying a carrier had offered to haul the car for $1600; I countered them at $1400 and they accepted. They picked the car up the following day and I received it two days later in great condition. Anybody who has never shipped a vehicle before should realize that just because someone gives you an initial quote doesn't necessarily mean it will stay at that price. Overall, I had a good experience with Amerifreight and would go through them again.
