First, the experience was top notch, and I would go through AmeriFreight again. I had never shipped a car before, so the whole procedure was new. My AmeriFreight agent, Jorge Cruz, explained all the nuances - and there are some - so that I understood the process. There is, for example, some give and take on the price; e.g., you can pay more to lock-in dates, or, you can hold out for less cost if you are flexible. It's worth noting that small cars are apparently more attractive to the trucking companies that AmeriFreight works with, and you may be able to use that to your advantage.
My carrier was Transport Express, Inc. They arrived at the pickup on time, transported from Fairfax, Virginia to Portland, Oregon ahead of schedule, stored the auto a couple days until I arrived, then delivered to my new home. The pickup is worth describing. My home was on a narrow, heavily treed private road; I watched the drivers maneuver this enormous rig, and saw how careful they were to keep the cars already on the trailer from being touched by overhanging tree limbs - amazing. I quit worrying about the shipment at that point.
The car was picked up and delivered in a timely fashion. There was zero damage. What more could you ask?
