Jeff Wright was the person I talked to when I called Amerifreight. He answered every question I had and explained everything to me in detail. He then sent me all the papers confirming our conversation and things went into motion. I had researched other companies, but this one had the highest rating with the BBB and had plenty of contact information listed.
The transport driver, Carlos, called us the day after Jeff sent us the confirmation papers to confirm pickup on February 15th. He then called the day before to give us a time estimate and work out any last minute details. On the day of pickup he called a couple of hours out to confirm and then was able to park transport vehicle down the street. I heard the doorbell and was surprised to see him at the door ! He was very polite, neat, clean and professional. The sleeper cab of the big rig was a pretty blue and very clean. He went over our son's truck throughly and even pointed out a couple of things, I hadn't noticed on the exterior of the truck ! I then watched him load my son's truck onto the transport and away he sent. This was around 5-6pm on the 15th.
He made contact with our son in FL on Sat, 18th for a Sunday drop off. Meanwhile, there was a band of thunderstorms with small stream flooding going through the area and would be continuing on Sunday. We were concerned for son"s truck and the transport driver for everything to go smoothly without golf ball hail damaging the truck. Also power was going in and out where son is and he was loosing phone signal which could complicate drop off. As it turned out all went well and son called us very happy with his truck and had the same compliments of the driver I already mentioned.
I would definitely use Amerifreight and Jeff Wright if we need to ship a vehicle again. I would also recommend him and the company to anyone wanting to ship a vehicle. I would also recommend Carlos as a transport driver. It was so nice to feel very comfortable turning over son's truck to him to go across country !
