Communication Should Have Been Better

I’d asked Mike to look into COVERED transport between a TX dealer and my home in Iowa. I agreed to a price he arranged through another carrier, emailed him some details, then radio silence. I never got a confirmation until a week later when I called and asked for one, and then discovered he’d quoted OPEN transport. By that time it was too late to change it because the driver was already in TX. The driver was supposed to pick up the vehicle on Monday, which turned into Tuesday, which turned into Wednesday morning, which turned into Wednesday afternoon, and I only learned these things because the dealer called me to let me know the driver hadn’t come, or I had to call and ask Mike what the status was. I didn’t hear from the actual driver until Thursday. My vehicle was support to arrive Thursday, then Friday morning, which turned into Friday afternoon. We had planned to leave town for a family vacation Friday afternoon (I reminded Mike of this several times), but as luck would have it we had to cancel because of illness. Long story short, the vehicle is here safe and sound, but the lack of communication and the overpromise/underdeliver caused me more anxiety than I’d care to repeat.

My name is Mike and I am the owner of Alpine transport inc. I handled this move from the beginning to the end. I completely disagree with this review. Customer was informed very much so. He was quoted ($950 for open) and ($1200 for enclosed). The customer chose to go open. Transport was set up 7 days prior. We did not have a truck available until the beginning of the following week. He chose to wait and stating that he was in no hurry. The car was picked up and deliver safely with in that week. The customer never said anything about going vacation the at the week. The driver had (9) drops and (9) pick ups with in Texas and Oklahoma. It is very hard to predict on exact time. The customer was informed that the driver had several stops and we couldn't nail down an exact time until we got closer (MONDAY). Monday would be the earliest we could pick up. We do not make promises if we can not make them. 2 days for travel time is very prompt. I feel as if we did everything we said we would do. The customer was very pleasant to deal with and I'm very puzzled why we received such a negative review. Sincerely, Pres. Mike Feuerhelm
