My decision was simple - drive my daughter's car from Alabama to Southern California at an estimated cost of $326 for gasoline alone or ship it. At 2000 miles, I would have had to pay for a hotel for 2 nights and upon arrival I would have been too tired to really help her. I decided to ship it after finding prices between $700 and $1000. After I learned the language, it was a no-brainer. I needed to get the car to daughter's new residence during the 3 day period I was there. In the beginning, I did not understand the difference between "rock-bottom" price and priority. Now I know that if time is of no issue, take the low price and wait. If time is a factor at all, go ahead and treat the incentive $ like a part of t he bid and write that check. My carrier picked up my car a day earlier than estimated and delivered it 3 days earlier than promised.
