Great Experience with United Auto Transport

My situation felt very stressful. While on a family vacation in California, our son (recent college grad) happened to have an interview nearby and was offered a job (we live in Indiana). The problem was they wanted him to start only a week after we returned from vacation. Therefore, my vacation was no longer a "vacation." I went into full planning mode with him on apartment hunting over the 4th of July week and researching whether or not to buy a used car in the area, drive a car out, or transport one of our own cars. We decided there wasn't time for a cross-country road trip, and looking for a new/used car would be more expensive and a time-consuming process. I knew nothing about car transport services before this experience. After doing a lot of online reading, though, and speaking to several companies, I felt United Auto Transport was the most professional and trustworthy company. I was not in the least disappointed and highly recommend them. "A.D." (yes, that is the manager's name who did all the scheduling) was very professional, and she did an excellent job of communicating each step of the process to me. I was relieved to know this part of our son's move to California was likely to go well and that he'd have a car ready to use his first day of work. Of course, there is always the chance delays can happen along the way, but in our case, everything went as planned. I paid my deposit on a Monday, and the next day A.D. had a driver if my car was ready. Unfortunately, I thought it would be several days later, so my car was at a detail shop getting one last "spa" day. No worries. She calmly said she would look for another driver. You must be flexible with this process. It's a bit like waiting for a baby to arrive--you might only get a few hours notice when a driver is available, so once you pay your deposit and get the ball rolling, clean out your car and have it ready to go any time. Friday, she called again to inform me she had a driver who could pick up the car (we met him at a nearby, large parking lot) and have it delivered in time. We arrived in California late Thursday night. At this point, the actual driver and/or his company reached out to us to give us the delivery window the next day. We were told it was a three-hour window the day prior, but on Friday the driver called and narrowed it to 40 minutes, so we were not inconvenienced at all. The car arrived dusty from the road trip, but the fresh wax job made washing it easy. We paid the driver a cashier's check written out to the specific transport company hired by United Auto Transport and all was well. Of all the processes in this fast cross-country move to help set our son up for his first job, this was the easiest and smoothest. I highly recommend United Auto Transport and working with A.D. In fact, I just referred them to my neighbor who has to get a car back from California to Indiana, today.
