I arranged for shipment of my BMW from Sturbridge, MA. to Bethlehem, PA. weeks in advance.
I asked for it to be delivered to Bethlehem on the evening of November 15th, any tme November 16th, or the morning of Novemebr 17th .
I told A1A I did not care when it was picked up in Sturbridge but the delivery dates above where critical because Bethlehem is not my permanent residence and I would only be there specifically to accept the delivery of the BMW. I also told them I was traveling specifically to accept delivery on the dates shown.
They continued to reassure me it would be no problem. Once I arrived in Bethelem the story changed. First I was told the driver was sick and they would arrange an alternate. Then I was told it was "snowbird" season with many cars be transported south but they would find an alternate.
On ThursdayI was told an independent contractor would pick the car up between 8:00 AM and noon Friday. On Friday I was told it would be picked up before evening. I asked for the driver's cell number it was given "Tim's" number. I called him and was told his nav system indicates he is 1 hour, 20 minutes from pick up address.
At 3:00 PM Ashey called me to say the driver (Tim) canceled. SO after traveling to Pennsylvania and asking my daughter to wait for the driver at the pickup point all day the car was never transported.
