Original shipping contract dated 12/20/07.

$890 paid in advance.

I was told that my car would be picked up "within a few days".

Every few days thereafter I was told that my car would be picked up "within a few days".

Finally, two months later I gave up on A-Eastern and arranged for an alternate company to ship my vehicle at an additional cost of $895.

I have now filed a complaint in regard to A-Eastern with the New York State Attorney General.

After posting a negative comment on this forum, I received this notice from A-Eastern:

Mr. Aitken
You have gone on the internet and slandered our company name with false accusations. You hired another company while you were under contract with us to transport your car. You never cancelled your contract with our company and have not asked for a refund. Our truck tried TWICE to pickup your vehicle from the terminal that we assigned it to and you told them not to release your vehicle to us because you hired another company. We know the other company very well AAAdvantage for they haul cars for us also. You also indicated that you went to the Attorney General's office. Mr Aitken I have documentation of all the lies you have published and we will sue you for libel and slander. In addition when you lie to the Attorney General's Office it is a Misdemeanor and we will be sure to exercise that right. I suggest that you remove from the internet your false accusations and cancel your order in writing and request a refund so we can refund your money within 48 Hrs or we will proceed with our lawsuit.
