On May 27th, 2009, we contracted with this company to pick up a van and deliver it to NJ. We were promised the pick up would occur in the next few days. They wanted their money up front with check that was faxed to them. (Never do this) The van was not picked up or a call to us that it would be picked up. This scenario went on until June 19th. We would call every day, and get another excuse to why the van was not picked up. They were rude, called us stupid, and would hang up on us. I have never in my whole life been treated like that as a customer. We could not cancel because they were going to charge us another $250 before the cancellation period ended which they kept changing. After almost a month of this terrible situation(which by the way the car was very badly needed in NJ.) we cancelled the contract on the date we were told too. Then we had to start all over again contracting a new carrier. From everything we read we knew it would be difficult to get our money back at all. In the meantime, I called the Police Dept., in NY, contacted the Attorney General, called and emailed consumer affairs and wrote to three congressmen in that district reporting the terrible business dealings. Every time, I called about our refund check it was another excuse. Which by the way, I called twice a day for almost two months. We had to change our bank account, so they would not debit our account again. 1. We Blue Knight are changing banks, 2. The accountant is not in today, 3. The manager is not in. 4. It will take several weeks. 5. The check is on the manager's desk. 6. We will call you when the check is in the mail. On August 10th, we finally received a check from them for the total amount. I went to their bank which was Chase, and was told there was not enough money to cover the check. I called John, who was not happy with me and told me just to deposit the check, because there would be funds later that day. I did cash the check at my bank the next day, and there were funds there. I do know for a fact, if I had not called from June 19th to August 7th, I would never received my money back. They should have had to pay interest on my money from May 27th, thru August 7th. I do not understand how a company like this can be bonded and licensed.
