Horrible car delivery experience

This review is more about the carrier (Express Trans LLC) than eShip but eShip did not help me out either nor refunded some of their broker fee ($250) as they promised. So on the day of delivery the carrier told me his truck broke down in L.A. and he could not deliver my car that day, only 5 days later. The new delivery date would have been out of the contracted window and I was also traveling so the new delivery day did not work for me. The carrier said he had no other trucks and he did not offer any alternate solutions, like hiring another truck from another company. We were stuck without a solution, so I decided to offer to drive down to L.A. (from San Francisco) and pick up the car there. I simply had no other choice. The address I got turned out to be the next street from the carrier's home address and the truck seemed to brake down in his backyard. He wasn't even home because he had to take another job!!! (driving another truck!). His son was there delivering my car. He offered me $100 off, while I was asking for something more substantial discount. I called eShip to help with the negotiation but it didn't really work. After long argumentation, I had to agree to the $100 off as I did not feel safe in that neighborhood. eShip promised to refund some of the $250 fee they got from me but that never happened.
