First, Mike was a pleasure to deal with over the phone and by email.

The company prominently advertises "no hidden fees." Well, if you read the fine print, there is a hidden fee, and a large one at that, if you need to pay by credit card rather than cash. And at 7%, that is a hefty premium whereas most credit card companies only charge a 2-3% processing fee. We talked to Mike about that and we agreed to a lower credit card surcharge-

Problems arose with the actual delivery of the vehicle, as it was not complete door to door service as advertised. The transprot company, Desert Star, did not deliver the vehicle to the final destination, in northern Arizona. The vehicle was hauled to a drop-off location near Phoenix and off-loaded there..A day before the scheduled delivery date . I got a call from a guy at Desert Star and he asked me to come pick up the vehicle in a town 125 miles away from the destination! I told him that was outrageous and unacceptable and not part of our contract. But instead of putting the vehicle on a flatbed or other vehicle to make the final delivery, a driver physically drove my vehicle from the depot near Phoenix to the destination. In the process, they added 125 miles to the odometer. As a side note, the man who drove the vehicle to the final destination was extremely rude, inconsiderate and had a foul mouth worse than the proverbial drunken sailor.

After complaining and discussing the situation with Mike, they agreed to reimburse us for the cost of the extra miles put on the vehicle. But it took two follow-up calls and 6 weeks before the reimbursement was actually received. Better late than never.
