I booked a transport for my Nissan skyline through Montway transport. I explicitly detailed that the car was modified on coil overs with a carbon front lip which would only allow for 3” of clearance over all and that a gate lift must be used. I’ve used Montway 3 other times without issue, including one of the times for another lowered skyline. This was now the 4th time. Montway called and said they had a driver and the car would be picked up later that day or the next. I reminded them that my seller needed an hour notice and that he works and isn’t available till after 5. They assured me that was all listed in the dashboard. Well, Uno Auto transport was the carrier and for starters they did not give my seller and hour heads up as requested, in fact they called when they were only 3 miles away. If only I knew how bad things would get. Uno showed up, and called me directly, apparently a no no accordingly to Montway. They told me the car is only 1” off the ground (a lie and I have photo proof). They they tell me it can be done but it’s going to be another 250$. Now at this point, I needed the car picked up as this was when the seller as available. I tell them fine but I’ll be taking it with with Montway as I was clearly misquoted then. This is where it’s get crazy, my seller is standing there, and shoots a video of them driving the car onto the lift gate with no problem at all as they are on the phone with me waiting my approval to say yes do it for the extra 250$... So now I’m left wondering why they needed this extra 250$. With all this going on Montway calls and asks what is going on and why I’m paying 250$ I explain to them that they are lying about the car being 1” off the ground and how the person told me it’s for the “possibility of damage” and that they now couldn’t move the car around when picking up other vehicles. Montway tells me that’s unacceptable and that they are never suppose to call me direct in the regards to money or payment and it’s against the policy. They tell me they’re gonna call and work it out. Within minutes the driver of the truck for uno transport calls me, yelling and screaming at me how I’m getting him in trouble and how I agreed to the 250$ and he’s just bringing the car back cause he doesn’t have “time for this shit” and it’s a more of a “pain in the ass” for him. I tell him that my seller isn’t available to take the car back now at this time and he told me that I better call Montway and drop my complaint then... so he makes me do a 3 way call with Montway. I tell Montway it is what it is that there is no one to take the car bask now and I can’t have my 40000$ car just sitting in some roadway in the middle of no where. Montway tells me to disconnect and they’ll call me back. The transport goes on and Montway asks for the photos of the height of the car supplied by my seller as well as the video driving up the ramp with no issues. Montway reviews the video and tells me I have been “extorted” but due to them not wanting the car damaged or the delivery to be compromised that they are going to wait to press the issue. On the delivery, Uno transport once again didn’t give and hour notice, they also made sure they had the car unloaded before I got there to make sure I couldn’t video it being unloaded to show it wasn’t necessary for the additional costs. The driver then VIDEO RECORDED ME AND MY GF as I carefully and thoroughly looked over the car, he also wouldn’t supply me with the check list of imperfections from the initial pick up of vehicle. Instead he stood back about 15 feet, filming me and eye fucking me like some wanna be gang banger. Uno transporter is bunch of extortionists and liars. I believe the delivery only went the way it did because local PD happened to be in the parking lot. This matter has reach management of Montway and they have even refunded me half the difference as they continue to investigate this extortion. I thank Montway for their professionalism and treating me as a valued 4x returning customer. As for Uno Transport, THE WORST! I’ll be contacting the better business bureau and I will be providing this feedback to everywhere i can
