BEWARE!!! FIND ANOTHER COMPANY TO USE! I signed a contract with UDT to transport my Genesis from California to Arizona. I paid the deposit after thoroughly reading the contract they sent me. They notified me the day I signed the contract and paid the deposit which was a Friday that my car would be picked up the earliest Monday and the latest Tuesday of the following week. When I called Monday to figure out what was going on with pickup NO ONE answered their phones BUT when I texted Sarah she responded immediately. Saying the car won’t be picked up till Tuesday. Than Tuesday rolls around and I get a text from Sarah again saying they don’t have a driver that the car will be picked up Wednesday, and that there will be an additional charge of $130 above the amount I agreed upon in the contract due to lack of available drivers and an increase is gasoline (right because gas prices jumped tremendously in 3 days ???????). When I refused to pay anything additional she said that my car can wait the 7 day scheduling window then. When I pointed out nowhere on their contract does it state a 7day scheduling window, nor does it have any clause of a potential increase in cost. She kept telling me to read the contract, which I clearly did and she didn’t. So we called them on a different number and low and behold they actually answered the phone. To make a long story short Sarah is clueless about the contracts, and claims it’s just an estimate for them but a contract for the consumer (nope doesn’t work that way). When told they will have a lawsuit from me if they don’t fulfill their contract or reimburse the deposit that day, they then stated they would charge $200 for admin fees. But what they aren’t understanding is they were in breach of the contract. They refused to get the owner on the phone, or even a manager who knew what the contract stated, because the gentleman they put on the phone kept telling us to refer to section 7 in the contract which stated if the consumer cancels the contract 7 days before a pick up than they would be billed $200 for admin fees - not what Sarah and the gentleman kept claiming was the 7 day notice of scheduling for pickup. We told them again that there will be a lawsuit and a lien on their property and business until the issue was resolved appropriately because legally they were breaching the contract and trying to cohourse more money out of a fully contracted and bid amount, they then said they would get the arrangements set up for the car to be picked up Wednesday. So now it’s Wednesday and the car thankfully was picked up from a transporter that is subcontracted from these idiots. But here’s the kicker I get a text message from Sarah asking if the car is picked up, and than she asks me to remove my review and they will give me $50 ?? like really! They think bribing people to remove their reviews will give them a good reputation. UDT is an unethical, unprofessional, scandalize company that will bid a contract low and than try to increase charges AFTER a consumer has signed the contract locking them into that original bid amount because NOWHERE on their contracts does it say there could be a potential increase in charges. Part of me wonders how many people fall for their crap and actually pay the additional fees. This company shouldn’t be in business, or they should hire some competent employees who have customer service skills, and can actually read and understand their own contracts. The owner should be ashamed of how he allows this company to be ran and not stepping in to fix the clear issues that are consistent across the board for his customers. Read the reviews, this company has done this same thing to so many. I have them 2 stars only because the car was picked up, not because they did anything good. They breached the contract, they harassed my phone to bribe me to remove a review, they are unethical, rude and unprofessional. I have every text message Sarah sent me regarding the issues and bribery.
