If I could give this company 0 stars I would. This company gave me a window of dates in which my car would most likely be picked up. I moved across the country for grad school, and needed my car ASAP. On the last day of the pick up window, I had left multiple emails and voice mails, which were not received. On my way to the airport I figured I had to find a more reliable company, since I would be starting school within a few days, and now had no confirmation of a driver being found to deliver my car. I emailed them stating that I had no choice but to cancel and go with another company. As soon as I called another company and agreed to a price upfront, US Auto transport "ironically" called me back stating they found a driver, but for an increased price, which ended up being the same price I agreed to with the 2nd company. They obviously saw that I had agreed to an increased price with someone else, and didn't want to lose my business. I asked them to please be truthful about this new found driver, because if I was going to now cancel with the 2nd company I found, I wanted to make sure US auto transport was going to take care of my car once and for all. They promised me my car would be picked up on Monday, Dec. 30th. So I agreed to their dispatch and was relieved my car would be picked up soon. (Keep in mind I was originally told that the entire trip would take about 3-5 days for delivery from NY to Albuquerque). This worked out for me because I put together that I would get my car delivered on the 6th, at the latest, which was already pushing it considering I started class on the 2nd. The next day after agreeing to the dispatch, I get a call from the driver confirming he would pick the car up. At the end of the call, he adds in that my car would be delivered around the 10th. This was a date that was WAY too late for me to receive my car, and did not make sense given the information that I was previously given regarding how long the trip should take. If I knew my car would take so long to be delivered, I would not have agreed to go with this driver. I asked the driver why it would take so long, and he stated that he would be picking up my car in New York, driving it to another location, keeping it on the truck for 6 days, and then driving it from New York to Albuquerque on the 5th of January. This means that the trip would not start until the 5th of January, and not December 30th. I don't care what day the driver is "picking up" my car from my house. If he is driving it 20 minutes away to sit for an additional 6 days before starting the trip, then that cannot be considered the pick up date. The fact that this information was withheld from me is equal to me being lied to, especially considering the fact that it went against the contract I agreed to. The man, Terry, with whom I spoke to at US Auto transport KNEW how stressed I was about receiving my car, and he decided to withhold information about the delivery date of my car. This lack of transparency is NOT ok in a company like this, where people are relying on companies to bring their much needed source of transportation to them in their new life. I told the driver this would not work with me, as I needed my car much sooner than the 10th of January. He said to me "It's New Years, don't you understand I want to be with my family?" Lol, that is sooo fine with me and understandable, just don't agree to do a drive if you cannot accommodate the accurate dates posted for the client. If i was told from the beginning that he would be holding my car after pickup in teh same state, to then start the trip 6 days later, I would have said I appreciate it but I will have to pass, as I need my car sooner than that for GRAD SCHOOL in another state across the country where I do not know anyone!! I then proceeded to call US auto transport and leave voicemails and emails stating that I was lied to, and that I could not proceed with the company due to how long they would take to deliver my car. They took days to get back to me, after I filed a dispute with my debit card for the 200 dollars I was charged at dispatch. Terry told me I could contact US auto trasnport email to tell them what happened. You would not believe what happened after I emailed them, they CHARGED ME AN ADDITIONAL $550 FOR A "CANCELLATION FEE." I had been transparent with this company throughout the entire process about when I needed my car, and they scammed me throughout the whole process. The only reason I had to cancel is because THEY scammed me, and lied to me about dates and the trip of my car. How dare they charge me 750, after I could not use them because THEY had a driver with dates that did not match what I told them would work for me. As of now I need to send another letter to my credit card company stating what happened, so I hope that eventually gives me my money back, after such fraudulent charges were made from this terrible company.
