This is an antique (1982 4 door 5 speed), non-running VW diesel Rabbit with the body in VERY good shape that I had ALREADY paid $1500 for (a bargain). The first driver showed up late and informed the repair shop that had the car, and the seller, that: no key; no transport. This annoyed me IMMENSELY and ruined my day when I found out later. The repair shop employee (owner?) had even gotten into the car (without damage) and had the door open by the time the transport driver had shown up, I found out.
You must be asking yourself why I would give this transport an excellent rating.
I called Alex, who's one of the best guys I've ever talked to in my life, repeatedly over the next two days. What usually happens is that the service rep gets angry and hostile. NOT Alex!! He stayed right with me, he made me (at least) one of his top priorities. He, at the last minute, before I had a deadline to mail the key to Maryland overnight (100 miles) got another driver who said "no problem" and picked up the car almost right away. This driver, Carlton, in his own rig, had his partner call me on the cell phone when they were about 50 minutes out. I called them back when they were 10 minutes out and gave better directions. Carlton, with me stopping traffic, went to the extra trouble of backing that huge rig into my driveway and putting that Rabbit in a good place when I told him it wouldn't run, instead of just dropping it at the side of the highway! In the true spirit of "all's well that ends well", I would give them a six star rating if it were an option.
Upper management! Are you LISTENING!? If you're going to hire people like Alex and Carlton, you need to provide a six star rating for people with a precious, rare car, like me, who get victory snatched from the jaws of defeat by people like them! That's ALEX and CARLTON, OK!?
Two out of three ain't bad! I say: By all means; USE this company when it matters a lot!
