I needed to move my vehicle about 600 miles. I posted to a website and received at least a dozen calls and emails from transportation brokers. I talked with a number of people and committed to a carrier, with another as a likely backup if the first one failed. Then I realized I did not research any of these carriers. I first went to the BBB to investigate. It was quite an eye opening experience - nearly every one was rated D or F. Then I compared those reviews with the reviews on Transport Reviews. Some companies had stellar reviews on Transport Reviews but dozens of complaints via BBB (many left unresolved). The first company and my back-up company had good ratings on Transport Reviews. Both of them were rated as F by the BBB. One had over 30 complaints against them. Fake reviews are a big problem on a site like Transport Reviews. Just consider the number of reviews and frequency. As I continued to research, I came across Transport Connection. Bill had left me a message and emailed me. His rating on BBB was an "A". In this industry, I find that stellar. On Transport Reviews, his reviews seemed genuine - no reviews manufactured. I talked with Bill (the owner of the company) to book my vehicle transport. We were chatting for about 30 minutes. If you are looking for perfect professionalism like what a Customer Service Representative would have for a bank or something, Bill is not it. He seems like a genuine person who can move your vehicle with no BS. (And you might even hear him say BS or some other colorful phrase when you talk with him.) He will deliver the news to you straight. I paid him his broker fee upfront (something that you are warned not to do) but I felt comfortable given his positive rating, his years in service, and his understanding of the business and willingness to explain it to me. I would use Bill Avrich and Transport Connection again if I need to move a vehicle. Jason B
