So after being yanked around by another company for several days, I fired them. They kept telling me a driver would be there, then gave an excuse why he didn't show up over and over. I found Bill's company which had good reviews and gave him a shot. He charged a flat fee of $125. He sent me e-mails of the board which still had my car up from the other place. This is how I found out how it works. You hire a broker like Bill and he finds a driver. He posts the info on a board, the driver calls him and they negotiate the price. Then there is a 3-way call where you talk to bill and the driver. That way everything is confirmed. He gave me a range of what the driver would want and never promised a pickup or delivery time. The other guys I fired did BTW. The reason is the driver does not work for the broker. They are freelancers. So a driver will look at the board with the info. If he wants to take the job he will contact the broker. Luckily, a driver saw the info and scheduled pickup for a few hours later. Weird how it works.

So after a big company making a lot of false promises, I found Bill who told me like it was. Very happy.
