Damage suspension

My BMW was transported by Starway Logistics. The drivers hooked the suspension components to tie the car down. They severely bent the suspension in doing this. The car is not drivable. They will accept no responsibility for the damage.

The tow truck driver I had to contact to get my car to the shop clearly stated that BMWs 9and many other european cars) should never be tied down by hooking the suspension. My shop confirmed the diagnosis. I have not yet received the estimate for the damage.

Starway refuses to even discuss the cost of repairs and are very dismissive of their responsibility going so far as to defend the practice that caused the damage.

I would never use them again and would not recommend going through Direct Express Auto Transport as they are the ones that arranged the transport.

We received a claim about your 1998 BMW. Unfortunately we had to deny the claim because it is a mechanical issue. We have a Bill of Lading (you have a copy as well) where you signed that you understand we are not responsible for any mechanical issues, our drivers are not mechanics and they do only exterior inspections. Also your car is 17 years old, it is not brand new. Sorry but we had to deny the claim because it is a mechanical issue.
