Shipping car from CA to TX

Here is my complete honest review: It was my first time shipping my car so I didn't really know what to expect. I first contacted the company about 3 weeks before the moving date. The representative said that he would let me know the exact transporting time a week before my moving date. I made calls a week before but it went to the voicemail (which is quite common during the process of communication with my representative). He did leave a voicemail later saying that I should hear back about my carrier early on the week of my moving date, which is Thursday. I was scheduled to have my car shipped out between Monday- Wednesday, preferably Monday. However I didn't hear back from the representative until Monday, and he said this is due to COVID and that CA has a surge of demands for transport. My shipping date was changed to Tuesday and I was finally confirmed for a carrier but with additional $200 than my original quote (Originally was about 750) . The rep did say that because the amount is higher than expected, he will reduce the amount that I need to pay him, so basically I will still pay $200 more, but only $50 of that goes toward his pay, the rest to the driver. I appreciate his kind gesture and while I do understand that this is during pandemic, I cannot give a higher rating due to changed pricing from the original quote and not completely efficient communication for booking the carrier, and change of schedule last minutes makes it hard to maneuver with my work. Once I contacted the driver, it appears that there's a scheduling conflict and I had to change my shipping date, once again, to Wednesday. However, once the car is shipping everything went very smoothly. I also would like to note that I have contacted the 24/7 customer support line when I couldn't reach my representative, but they put me on hold many times and calls hung up. Overall, I would say this experience might be the result of COVID, and I hope the experience improves if I do use their service once again in the future.

We sincerely apologize for the poor communication. It should never be the case on our end and we will look into it to continue to improve how we do our service. We also would like to explain that the quote is always an estimate of what the final price may be to get your car moved. Availability, and other factors can always affect the price.
