This was my first time to use an auto transport service and if in a situation where I required the service again I would reuse Ship A Car Direct. The representative at the company, Renee, was professional and helpful. Once I obtained the estimate via email I didn't commit for almost two weeks in order to do some research about other companies and read the reviews. During that time, Renee continued to send emails with various situations and questions from other customers and I found each one helpful. I also watched all the videos on the S.A.C.D.'s website and they answered most of my questions. Once I made the commitment, I contacted Renee to request answers to a couple of additional questions and once satisfied with the responses, I submitted the order on-line on a Tuesday. By Wednesday morning Lion Auto Transport LLC contacted me to schedule the pick up and by Thursday morning L.A.T. picked up my car. It was transported from Denver, CO to Laguna Hills, CA and by Sunday afternoon was delivered to my mother (cost=$400). We had the car delivered to a local mall since she lives in a retirement community and large trucks are not permitted to go there. A couple of things: 1) make sure you don't have any large trees near where the transport company will need to pick up the vehicle; 2) check your street to see if there are any weight restrictions. A street perpendicular to our street had a no gross vehicle weight over 7,500 pounds sign and the transport company wouldn't come onto our street. Instead, he drove the car around the corner onto the other street to load onto the truck. The driver took multiple pictures of the vehicle that generated a report and he asked if I wanted a copy of it emailed to me, which I thought was a great service. I had already downloaded Ship A Car Direct's app and submitted photos, but I thought it would be a good idea to have the same photos the driver took. There were no issues with my mother picking up the car on the receiving end, and since I had the report that the transport company provided I was able to easily email it to her so she could see what were acceptable scratches & dings and determine if there were new scratches. There were none. While some people may not want to pay a broker's fee ($250) that Ship A Car Direct charges, for me, it was paying for a piece of mind knowing that they were available 24/7 and would help advocate on my behalf in the event something happened.
