I did extensive research online before booking with a shipping company and I decided to go with Ship A Car Direct, because they offered the best price for my situation. My rep Christina was pretty bad to say the least, not friendly at all and gave me an attitude my first time speaking with her when I stressed that my car could not be left for an undisclosed period of time in an unfamiliar city an hour away from my desired pick up location. She insisted I add an extra $100 to my quoted price right off the bat in order to get a pick up in my desired location, to which I agreed without any questions. I went a full week without hearing anything back from her, so I call and ask for an update to which I'm met with more attitude by her saying "you don't need to call me, I'll call you if there's an update." (This was my first time reaching out to her after booking!) So another week passes and I email her, asking for an update since I'm getting worried thinking my order has been lost in the shuffle. To my surprise, I learn that she has raised my bid by another $100 without my knowledge or permission, and still no takers. I get that she's in the middle between myself and the carriers, but she kept insisting that I go out of MY way to coordinate a pick up at a random location, when SHE is the one collecting the broker fee to coordinate in the first place. I tell her again that that will not work for me, and rather than trying to reach a solution she insists that I figure out a way to leave the car there or cancel my order. I ask her to raise my bid again in hopes that that will spark interest, increasing the original bid by $300, and she tells me that I "shouldn't even bother because my pick up location is too out of the way," before even getting in contact with a carrier to negotiate this. At this point, I've wasted two weeks with little to no contact from Christina who has been majorly unhelpful and unpleasant from start to finish. Rather than coming to a solution she jumped to canceling my order twice, before a carrier was even located. I thought I did the right thing by booking 3 weeks before my desired delivery date and waiting it out with Ship A Car Direct, but all I got was a rude rep and subpar service. The owner called me and explained that they don't do shipments north of Sacramento, CA but strung me along for 2 weeks saying that they can do door to door service? I guess look elsewhere if you're north of Sacramento.
