I think it's important to know going in that they can't guarantee an exact pickup and drop-off dates. They do a good job fairly early on explaining that they have a limited number of trucks so the pickup depends on when a truck is coming through your city. It's best if you can be flexible and plan a while in advance of when you want your car shipped so that you don't have a lot of waiting time. On the flip side, they were fairly accommodating when I needed to move my earliest available pickup date. My car was being worked on prior to pickup, so my pickup date needed to be shifted back. I was transitioning to a different city and living in a few temporary AirBnBs so the drop-off location was also changing. Once your car is picked up, you transition to primarily communicating with the person who manages the trucks, but you can still reach out to the Ship A Car employee managing your case if there's an issue.
