I contracted with Ship-A Car-Direct to pick up my car from Niantic, CT for delivery to California between May 14 and 18, 2018. They told me it should be easily picked up during this 5-day window with no problem. Not only did they NOT pick up my car in that timeframe (when I was actually there in Niantic) but they could NOT find a carrier for the car for the next 3 weeks - and with No Assurances of when my car would be picked up!
Each time I communicated with them it was the same story, "Hopefully your car will be picked up THIS WEEK”. Since I came back to Cali I need my car badly now. So I decided to book a one-way flight out there to pick it up and drive it back home.
Needless to say, based on my experience Ship-A-Car-Direct was unreliable.
I canceled my order today and, fortunately, was told I will not be charged anything at this point. But the aggravation was a big pain.
