Reasons I am giving 2 stars review:
- nobody was able to tell me or explain me why on the first day of pick up I still don't have any carrier set to pick up my car. (Ordered my transportation a week in advance)
- to get hold of Stefan and get a response wasn't easy
- it was actually very stressful on me not to know if my car will get transported or not and coming up with solutions for this situation last second
- heard from the carrier before I heard from ship-a-car-direct. Didn't have time to research the carrier and def couldn't afford to decline and ask for a new one (as advertised by ship-a-car) as everything was done last second.
- the carrier was a nice company and easy to communicate, that's why I am adding stars to my review
- my car arrived way ahead of me, which was great!
- however the car was covered in thick layer of ice and snow (which is normal in the winter/mountain transport) but it did the damage inspection impossible. It took a few days for the ice to melt and then some small damages were discovered. I don't mind the little scratch as it's on a plastic part. However, the bumper is a little bit cracked. And I think I know how it occrued and probably there was not much to avoid this to happen in such extreme weather conditions. But it is still a bit sad that it happened as my car was basically flawless before the transportation.
I won't use ship-a-car-direct for future moves due to the bad communication from their side and because everything is done last second.

Thank you for giving us a good amount of lead time, however, carrier assignment usually comes closer to the actual move day, especially with the upcoming holidays it is a bit challenging to get a carrier right away. Our apologies if you found Stefan hard to reach, that isn't usual- we also have our 24/7 support line when our reps are not working, like evenings and weekends.
