Stay away from ShipACarDirect if you want your car shipped on time and with no headaches. Chances are you've read some of the positive reviews on here about ship a car direct or you were referred to them by a friend or a family member who have had a good experience with them. The bottom line is this company is UNRELIABLE AND SHOULD BE AVOIDED.

I hired shipacar direct a couple of months ago to ship my car from Columbia, SC to New York based on the positive reviews that I saw on here. I discounted the negatives as exception. And truth is I had a great experience with shipacardirect the first time. Angela called me on time and scheduled everything with no hassles. i couldn't believe my eyes as I had some terrible experiences with car shipping companies before.

So when I needed to ship my car back to SC, I immediately went back to shipacardirect. What could possibly go wrong??? Well everything. My car was supposed to be picked up in Uniondale, NY three days ago. It is still sitting on my doorstep at this moment. Angela did not contact me as the company promised but I was not worried at first since they had sent me their generic emails stating that they're working on it. I called them yesterday because today is my deadline and it was obvious that I was put at the bottom of their tasks for the day. Still I've been patient. I have called Angela 5 to 10 times this morning and she's still "not around her desk" as her voicemail says. You'd think if she were working on my order #525133 she'd be quick to pick up the phone even if to tell me to be patient. They've lost my business as of today.

So Shipacardirect was not able ship my car after all. After seeing this review they've called me and told me that they're gonna try to work on it but asking me to take this review down if they deliver. Of course they didn't. They then called to tell me to get another company and they'll refund me the broker fee. This after giving me the runaround and making me miss my window to ship my car. That's not good enough. As of now, my car is still not shipped: I have to go search for a new company thus starting from scratch and hoping not to get burned. I am flying to my destination today and therefore will have to rent a car in order to get around town until my car gets there. That's money Shipacardirect won' reimburse of course. They're just a bad and unreliable company. Just save yourself the headache and shop some more! they make promises but don't deliver on them!
