Ship A Car inc sent m a subcontractor who did not have insurance in effect. I shipped FOUR cars cross country with shipacar Four. The sub hid damage under dirt and black duct tape. Shipacar basically said I did not note the damage on the bill of lading. It was hidden and they hired uninsured sub. Be aware. Spread the word. I gave them a chance to settle for a fraction of the damage. Ignored. W S. Las Vegas.

Before pickup we contacted the trucking company’s insurance company and confirmed they had the proper cargo insurance to transport the vehicle. As we do on all orders. The carrier was fully insured. It is the customer’s responsibility to document the condition of the vehicle at time of pick up and time of delivery to protect themselves. The customer contacted us over a week after delivery to claiming there was damage done to the vehicle during transport. The customer has to prove the damage was done during transport by documenting the damage on the bill of landing during delivery so it can be signed by the carrier/driver. That was not done. The carrier is claiming there was no damage done during transport. We apologize to the customer if they are not happy with the service. Damage needs to be documented on the Bill Of Lading at time of delivery to provide proof to the carriers insurance company to approve claim.
