I didn't want to drive my 2017 Corvette 1200 mile to Florida, so my plan was to rent a U-haul trailer until I found out my Vet's low ground clearance wasn't compatible. So then a car transport company, wow what a learning curve I went on. Most transport companies thru an online searches are brokers that bid your move to independent drivers. The reviews and ratings vary, in my opinion due to the many drivers available. This may have been an option if it weren't for the time of year (snowbird) and the possibility of getting a less experienced/careful driver. So it was back to the learning, it's better to get a company that owns it's trucks and employs it's drivers. There are few of those, and then because of it being "snowbird" season they're booked and had pickup windows of 2 to 6 weeks. That wasn't working for planing my trip south. What really didn't work was, one company told me it was possible (because of the busy season) I could be the last car picked up that would put me first to drop off and if they had team drivers (two) they could make the trip overnight. The problem is I couldn't, stress was building. THEN I found Damon at Reliable Carriers, I explained my situation and he worked out a solution. It's a real game changer if you happen to be near one of Reliable's hubs that have indoor climate controlled storage. I drove my Corvette to their building, on a sunny day, and put on the order not to be delivered until a date I chose. What a stress free move, I enjoyed Thanksgiving with my grandchildren and when I got my destination my car arrived in beautiful condition with less than a mile on the odometer. If I were to ever ship a car again it would be with Reliable, call Damon he will take care of you.
