Please be carefully with the company Red Carpet Transport Solutions. Joel B. the owner was my agent. I hired his company in June to have two cars shipped from NY to CA in August, almost two months ahead. The total amount was $3300 for enclosed transportation. He was very friendly and active to get my $300 deposit. He will tell you everything you want to hear to get your deposit. He told me they own trucks which is not true. Those are brokers only. Anyway, since he was super nice I decided to go with his company and paid the $300 ahead which was a big mistake. After he got the deposit, he stopped to communicate. Every time I called I got another excuse just to get rid of me. He will tell you stories till the last minute.
Less than 24 hours before pickup date I asked for the carrier trucking company and drivers contact information. He send me a trucking company name which are not allowed to transport cars, just food and beverage. The drivers name was Eric. He asked me not to call the drivers because he might be busy with loading etc. After some Google research it was the cell number from his own employee Eric you can find on the Red Carpet Homepage. Just another story to get me off the phone. I called him again the night before loading since there was nothing but excused and no confirmed loading date or time. He got rude on the phone and told me he’s not comfortable to do the job and canceled the job less than 12 hours before pickup! I had an empty house since my stuff was already on the way and just waited to have the cars picked up.
I found another great company to have my cars shipped within 48 hours for around $4400. They did an amazing job. Both cars got to California with zero issues. I talked to other brokers and all confirmed Red Carpet Transport Solution was not able to find a driver to do the job for $3300, but Joel B. told me every time a different story. I wasn’t looking for cheapest company but a headache free. I would never again deal with red carpet. I needed to open a claim with my Credit Card Company to get my deposit back. Be aware of Red Carpet Transport Solutions and Joel B.
