I was originally going to post a witty and erudite review regarding my recent experience with Number 1 Auto Transport, but this goofy review box deleted it. It was wonderful, and the New Yorker Magazine in its heyday would have published it as a feature article. Alas, 'tis lost as that famed work by Monet, but I digress... Number 1 is more expensive than many of the other auto shippers who flooded my telephone line and e-mail inbox. I am sure that there are other people who will do the job for less and might offer comparable service, but in my opinion the money was well spent, and I more than got what I paid for. The driver was courteous and prompt, and the only reason that he picked up the car on the day after I asked was that the person releasing the car lives in the Washington D.C. area and she did not want the driver to have to challenge the notorious Beltway at rush hour on a Friday. He loaded the car the following day around noon, and was here in Alabama unloading my car at 4:30 the next afternoon. Nelson was the driver's name, and he could not have been any better. One of the things that finally drew me to Number 1 was the other customer reviews that noted that their carriers were specific as to how they secured their vehicles: they strapped the tires down, not the rims. This may be fairly common, but I have seen it done incorrectly which risks the rims - and on an expensive luxury car, that is a big expense! So in short, I would CERTAINLY use them again, and I would DEFINITELY recommend them to friends and family. My enemies can deal with someone else. As to the expense, you get what you pay for - at least in my experience. I more than got my money's worth!
