My daughter and her boyfriend had their cars shipped from Texas back home to California for summer break until they return to college in August. Daylin didn't pick the vehicles up when he was supposed to, we had to keep calling and checking to see when he would be showing up. Once he delivered the cars in California, my daughter's boyfriend car was damaged from a gate closing on it. At least that's the story he gave, Daylin pleaded with the kids to allow him to get the car fixed because his insurance would go up. He told them they didn't have to pay for the damaged car, just the other one. They paid for one car and when he brought the damaged car back fixed, he demanded money. He never said that once he fixed the car, they would have to pay the money. Business is business, you damaged the car and inconvenienced them for five days and you have the nerves to show up demanding money. Daylin drove the car without permission over an hour away and showed up with his cousin and dog when delivering the car. He made a scene and acted very unprofessional because of the dispute behind the payment. There was a lot of back and forth between both parties, but as a business owner you totally crossed the line. Very disrespectful and rude. Daylin jumped in the car and took off driving the car nearly 55 miles away and told my daughter they would have to deal with dispatch the next day. Not only have you inconvenienced them for five days, but now you take the car 55 miles away, leaving them to have to get a ride to pick up the car. I've ben having my daughter car shipped back and forth since 2017 and have never encountered anything like this. As a parent I'm upset and don't understand his actions. What happened to customer service, especially when you was in the wrong to begin with. The money was never an issue, the issue was you damaged someone's car and thought you deserved to get paid for causing them distress. What's the real reason he didn't want to go through the insurance company? We will no be using him on return shipping in August!
