Do Not Choose New Way Moving

I had the misfortune to choose New Way Moving to transport my car from Naples, Florida to Huntington, West Virginia. I paid additional deposit, I was told, to ask for a two-day window for pickup. When those two days came, I waited and waited, and the car was not picked up. That was at the end of April, first of May. I am still waiting at the end of May. Before and during that time, I was in contact with their offices, I think the dispatcher and Customer Service, several times. I was always assured the car would be picked up soon. After several days of dishonest excuses, I was told the company was having trouble finding drivers to come to the West Coast of Florida or to go to West Virginia. Then after several more days, I was told my order was on hold because New Way had called me several times and I never answered. This also was not true – I had no calls on my phone. I ended up leaving that car in Florida and buying one in West Virginia, after borrowing a car for several days. I cancelled the order after nearly two weeks, and of course lost my deposit, which is a contractual agreement. I wonder how often New Way Moving gets to keep those deposits. Certainly I cannot recommend this company to anyone who wants honest and timely service. I had read the reviews and did not regard the few bad reviews as strongly as the several good reviews. I now believe the good reviews were “planted.” My advice to anyone considering this company – pay attention to and believe the bad reviews. This was an expensive and highly frustrating lesson I learned.
