Below is my letter I sent to all locations including Alaska . April 19th 2019 Letter of first attempt to receive compensation and partial refund for extreme lack of communication and time taken from me. To whom it may concern, and this is being mailed to all locations and emails being sent as well My name is Pete Tibbits IV and my reference order number was #2029300-gv for a pickup of my 1965 Econoline van that originally was scheduled through Adam Paulauskas telephone 727-231-5482 ext. 852. I scheduled for van to be picked up on April 12th from Arlington Texas and to be delivered to Palm Harbor Florida. I had scheduled a flight and Hotel reservations to be scheduled precisely around this time. When April 12th came I did not hear from the driver as told by Adam so I contacted Adam to let him know I needed at least 2 hours advance before meeting at Hotel to meet driver. Adam told me he would find out information and get back to me. 3 hours had past and still no contact. So I proceeded to contact Adam yet again to see what was going on. He preceded saying via texts with proof on my phone that he was going to contact driver. He messaged me back 5-15 minutes later saying that he just got informed that the driver had broken an Axle and Adam then said he was scrambling for past 2 hours to find another driver. There was the 1st proven lie. If he had just found out that moment then why was he scrambling for past 2 hours???? I at this point requested to talk to his manager whose name I believe was Travis? And I told him I was very very upset and the ball was dropped, not at all by the driver remind you because those things happen and a broken axle is not anyone’s fault. So after explaining the importance to them I was told they would find another driver or wait until Monday the 15th for same driver to have axle fixed and I asked to be contacted with answer before Friday ended and was not, nor was I contacted Saturday and I explained I was flying out Saturday and I was rudely asked if someone at hotel could meet driver. I am very surprised that a company would ask someone else to get involved. So I embarrassed at this point asking Hotel to not tow van because I had no choice but to leave van Sunday and Monday and I even stayed 2 extra nights and changed flight assuming driver was there Monday or Sunday. Still never contacted back and I even emailed company with no response. Fast forward to Monday at this point very upset and over the lies. I contacted the 877-278-3135 and spoke to another gentleman who understood why I was very upset. He contacted the location I originally called and they said it was dispatched Monday and would be finally picked up later that day. Fast forward never received a call that day again. So I called again and this Time the driver was contacted and he was in route to hotel and Driver called me to let me know he was there. Was told he would arrive in FL the following day Wednesday. So fast forward Wednesday Moses was drivers name very friendly and prompt and great communication. He arrived and that’s when I got the real truth and information that was never given to me and if it was I never would have changed flight or stayed 3 extra nights. Moses Told me that he actually broke the axel on Thursday in Lakeland April 11th and contacted Adam or someone at the transport Company that he would not be operating until Monday. Also that he told me he picks up on Thursdays and Tuesdays anyways. So not only did he say he wasn’t able to get van until Tuesday but he also called Thursday the day before my April 12th pickup. And they knew this and did not inform me. Also I was told Monday it was being picked up when it was never scheduled but for Tuesday. So with all this said. I am Attaching a Bill For 3 nights stay at 100.00$ a night that I never would have had to do if I wasn’t lied to and messed around with. Also my expenses for time lost which is at least 200$ a day that I will split in half to help so that is another 300.00$ and the flight to change cost me an additional 82.00$ and that you can decide. So brings a total on room before tax at 300$ and my expenses at instead of 200$ a day I drop to 100.00 a day x 3 coming to 300.00 + 82.00 flight change brings total to 682.00$$ payable check to Peter Tibbits IV Address 3169 Harvest Moon DR Palm Harbor FL 34683 This is my first attempt and again none of this falls on the driver because he is only a sub and did his part. Nationwide Transport is at fault. If I do not receive compensation within 30 days from today’s date April 19th 2019 then I will send 2nd letter followed by letter from my attorneys. I also am sending this to every location not just the St. Petersburg location so maybe everyone can see how important communication is. I would have understood the whole way through and been very corporative. Thank You, Pete Tibbits IV
