When my vehicle is picked up there is a bill of lading... what is it?
The Bill of Lading is the most important document in auto shipping. It is the inspection report. It relays the condition of the vehicle at pick up and delivery. You must get a signed copy of the Bill of Lading at pickup, and if damage is noted at delivery that was not noted at pick up, the Bill of Lading must be signed showing the damage was awknowledged. This is the only way to create a claim for damage. Insurance companies do not accept anything else without this document. We talk about the Bill of Lading extensively.
