I wanted my car transported from Las Vegas NV to Bellevue WA. I had to fly into Las Vegas to buy the car. On Monday Oct 8 National Auto Shipping (NAS) said that they would have a transport there for pick up on Oct 11 or 12, so I agreed. They took my info over the phone, then emailed me some documents that I had to fill out. Annoyingly I had to fill out the information they had already taken over the phone. They replied that they received the documents. I booked my flight. Oct 10, the day before I fly and hope to have the pick-up, I have not gotten any information from NAS. I emailed them asking for a status. I received no reply. Oct 11, I arrived in Las Vegas and at around 10 am, having gotten no reply to my email and no calls, I called NAS. They said that they had a carrier and it would be there today and the driver would call me. After a while with no call, I called NAS back and told them that I wanted to talk to the driver ASAP so that I had a chance to change the pick up location to the airport to save me a lyft fee and also look into my return flight. They said they would tell the driver. At 3pm, I still had no information, so I called them back. They said they would tell the driver to call me. At 5pm, the owner of the trucking company that NAS had chosen, called me and said that his truck broke down and that he would not be able to pick up the car until Sat 13 or Sun 15th. I called NAS, but since they are in FL, they didn't answer. I left a message telling them the situation. I waited an hour or so and decided I would start driving to Reno. I left another message at NAS telling them that I will be in Reno on Friday and that they should figure out transport from there. I called back the trucker as a courtesy, figuring that since NAS was so poor at communication I might as well tell the owner I would not be using his truck. I received no communication from NAS on Friday, so I ended up driving all the way home. I sent an email telling them I wanted the deposit back. They replied that since I cancelled the shipment with the driver that they would not provide the $195 deposit refund. I replied with the fact that the shipper could not meet the 2 day window that was promised and that NAS did nothing to recover from that failure. I will use the credit card company to get the money back.
