Poor customer service / late delivery

We used this company to transport a car from AZ to Ohio. The customer representative, Ara, promised a delivery date of Jan 22,2017. He also promised the transportation company would call when the car was picked up and then again prior to delivery, leading us to believe that we would have plenty of notification throughout the process. We also had phone numbers in case we needed to contact someone. I had a long conversation about delivery being on a Sunday and if there was a problem would I be able to contact someone easily. No problem he said... trust us. That should have been my first warning. The car was scheduled for pick up on 2/17 and my credit card was charged, $50 more than the agreed upon rate. I immediately called and was given a song and dance about an "error" and I could deduct $50 from the carriers payment. "Don't worry" they said. Well, the carrier didn't pick up the car until 1/18...never notified me, but called the dealership instead. That didn't help me any. We waited all day on 1/22 for the car to arrive, no phone calls. I finally called the numbers we were given and only got answering machines. Monday morning I called again, no answer and followed that up with an e-mail explaining how unprofessional and rude I felt the situation was. The excuse if finally got was that the weather conditions caused the delay. It was a beautiful and sunny week, higher than normal temperatures, for all of the Midwest (I looked up the conditions). After speaking with Ara and asking when delivery was expected he told me 1/26 or 1/27. I was very unhappy with that because I would have to rent a car to get me through the few days. When I asked what they were going to do about it he said "nothing". When I said "So, my only option is to write a bad review" he, said "Go ahead, if that makes you feel better for a few days". How is that good customer service? After asking to speak to a supervisor I was switched to a voicemail box that was full, then disconnected. The carrier never called us until Friday, the 27th and less that 1/2 hour before his arrival. We had to scramble to make arrangements for pick up since we could not do it at our home and had to go to larger parking lot. I did deduct the $50 from the drivers pay. I would never recommend using this company, they tell you whatever you want to hear, and then do what they want anyway. There is no help from them once they have your money. The representatives are very friendly prior to the contract and very rude once you have signed and paid. There are many car transporting companies out there and reputation is based on delivery, communication timing and value. I would have gladly paid more money for better service form a more reliable company.
