I'm active duty military. Vehicle arrived 8 days later than promised (NC to WA). Was missing for a week, only discovered it had never left the state of NC when I called on the day it was supposed to arrive. Threatened to report it as stolen since Montway had no idea where the vehicle was at this time. They asked me to wait for 24 hours. Got back to me and told me the driver was sick and had COVID and they were trying to find another transport to take it. They were very shady in the information they gave and when they gave it. Updated me that my car had made it to Tennessee, and made it seem like a new transport company had it when actually, it was the original driver . . no idea where my car was for over a week. Start calling them daily and get sent directly to a Supervisor. They were very pleasant, but dodged my calls and avoided answering direct questions. They lied several times about where my vehicle was. Finally get a call from the driver. He was sick, he had major family issues, he had all kinds of things going on and it was what it was. Car was promised over the weekend. DIdn't come. Driver called and said he was still sick, he was trying to get there and had more stops, would get it to me Sunday. Montway has no idea what he's doing and they are trying to stall. Doesn't some Sunday. Doesn't come Monday, finally arrives today.. Had to rent a car in order to find a place to live at new duty station. Montway says they only make $250 on each transport, the other $1900+ goes to the transport company so they can't give me anything back over $250. I didn't contract with the transport company, I contracted with Montway. They acknowledged that all legal issues go through them since they charge the transaction. Driver says he can't do anything on the cost b/c he already gave me a "break" on the weight of the car, which was news to me. This was clearly the shadiest business deal I have ever seen. I felt like I was being treated like a fool by Montway, treated like crap by the transport company and completely helpless b/c they had my vehicle that I needed. I would NEVER recommend Montway. The driver told me this is what I got for having my car shipped, I could've just driven it myself. Montway told me that I'd be better off taking the $250 and walk away and not say anything else, it "doesn't work out well for the customer". They have not offered any other solution, apology or compensation for the $1,000 that I had to spend on a rental car so I could meet my active duty obligations

Hello J, I am sorry to hear of the inconvenience with the shipment. We do our best to provide the best service possible. But with all logistics fields, there are limitations and policies that must be followed. Especially when it comes to a sick driver. They are required to follow protocols. This is one of the many reasons that we do not and cannot guarantee delivery dates or times for any reason. All transit and delivery dates are estimated. And we do not compensate for delayed shipments for any reason. We are 100% transparent with our terms and they are always available online at montway.com. By booking an order with us, you accept and understand these terms in full. I took a look into your order and I can confirm that we were aware of the vehicle location, as we provided that information several times. So again, we do understand the inconvenience. It's always a frustrating occurrence when delays occur. But safety is always the top priority of Montway and the carrier. And that includes driver health. If you have any additional questions or concerns please contact us at feedback@montway.com.
