I'm giving Montway an overall rating of 3 stars because the front office messed up the pick up of our 3 vehicles for our cross country move. We scheduled the transport 6 weeks prior to our move in order to lock in the pricing. We requested 2 vehicles to be in covered transport and our pick-up truck in an uncovered transport. The initial scheduling worked well. Montway says they have a five day period to pick up your cars. We chose dates between Saturday and Wednesday since our move out date was a Thursday. On the Monday before our move we were basically told we would not be able to get the covered transport. We were on the phone for over an hour trying to work with customer service to get the cars picked up. We agreed with the uncovered transport and the cars were picked up late Tuesday night. On Wednesday, we called to see about the truck transport. They had no carriers. We told them they had to pick up our truck that day (which is what was in the contract) since we were moving the next day. We had to pay hundreds of dollars extra to get a guaranteed pickup. It was frustrating and very stressful. The carriers that picked up our vehicles did a very good job. They were easy to communicate with and delivered in record time. For a cross country move, we were quoted 7 to 9 days. Our vehicles were delivered within 3 days! A word of advice -- Schedule all your vehicle transport as uncovered. We were not told that 90+% of carriers are uncovered which is why we couldn't get the original request of the covered transport. Also, plan for delivery in record time.
