Communication Glitch

Be very careful when booking with these people. I had ordered closed transport for a classic car and was quoted a price for closed transport, also telling the gentleman that it was a classic car, and that was that! When the car arrived, the "closed" transport was a truck cab that had packing canvas on both sides of the cab. There was wind and rain on the way to me and my car arrived in a pitiful state compared to how it was when picked up. When I contacted the Customer Experience Manager, Richard, I was told that what I really wanted was "white glove service" and that would have been much more expensive. Unfortunately, I was never given that option by the booking agent. That information should have been conveyed by the booking agent. As I do not transport classic cars on a regular basis, let alone this, my first time, how would I know there was such a thing? All that came out of my communication with Richard was: "It was most likely the case that Jaret did not understand your needs. So that will be addressed. As I think for classics such as your Challenger... it is important that we at least bring up these customized options and fully understand what you are looking for. I apologize for the inconvenience. If you plan on shipping in the future, I would ask that you contact me directly. As I would be happy to help provide a range of advanced shipping solutions." The car was delivered on time, the driver was courteous and helpful. But the communication was sorely lacking and that is the crux of customer service. I would have given 1 star, but I did appreciate the driver.
