I'll begin by saying in the end the driver Emil from Florida who transported our vintage car from Atlanta to New York did an outstanding job and on time. I wish I could give out his cell number because he was terrific. But this company Montway is not as it appears plus Ive never dealt with people that lie as badly as they lied to me. Very "professional" on the phone, some man named Tim, he gave me his direct line in case I had any questions. Agrees I will get a auto tractor trailer truck to move our car. We discuss at length about this because I have moved a car in the past where the guy showed up with a pick up and a box trailer and he went missing for a week with our car. I told Tim under no circumstances did I want that. We even talked about the truck coming into our sub-division, no problem and I didnt do door to door service for the sake of the tractor driver. I agreed to have my daughter meet the driver at the parking lot of a Walmart one hour south of where she lives so he could stay on the big interstate and not have to drive a big tractor trailer on the two lane out to The Hamptons. So Tim was well aware of what I wanted and agreed to it all. Well the day of pick up a pick up with a box trailer pulls up. Luckily the driver was lovely and knew what he was doing. The car got to New York on time and all ended well. Not only did Montway misrepresent themselves they gave me the name of a wrong driver and phone number. They are auto brokers, not transporters. They just need to be honest with people who call and not lie. Tim never answered my three calls. There probably is no Tim...stay away from these people. Make sure the company you use is not just a broker, make sure they actually own their own trucks or that they tell you they are just farming you out to whoever. Emil our driver was wonderful so I hope he gets lots of business. As for Montway they should be ashamed of themselves for being deceitful don't even pick up the phone and waste your time.

Hello Suzanne, we apologize for the inconvenience. I did go ahead and pull the phone calls with Tim and I believe I understand the confusion. Tim advised specifically that they would do their best to not have to arrange a box trailer. But they never guaranteed that a box trailer would not be used. You were also informed at booking and on our website that we are a broker. This is not hidden information. Our role as a broker is to connect a carrier to the customer. We are the professionals when it comes to auto transport and we will seek the most qualified carrier for any job. We use our industry knowledge, tools, software, experience, extensive records and data to dispatch a reputable carrier for your vehicle shipment. Our dispatchers carefully select and screen carriers to ensure safety, professionalism, and reliability. Our experienced agents negotiate with the carrier on your behalf to keep shipping prices low and fair. As a broker, we work with many different carrier companies across the country. The carrier and driver, Emil, were specifically chosen because we knew that they were the most qualified. Our top priority for any shipment is safety. And when transporting a vintage, that is even more important. Whether it is a 1 car box trailer or a full-size 9 car trailer, we will always work to assign the most qualified. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience. But as you've indicated here yourself, we've done the job that we were hired to do. Which was to dispatch a wonderful and professional motor carrier to service your shipment. I'd be happy to discuss this further.
