Horrible, Horrible Experience!

Montway Auto Transport should be ashamed of themselves to boast that they "deliver your vehicle and peace of mind". My experience was extremely stressful and deeply frustrating. I booked an enclosed transport 6-weeks in advance of my intended ship date and provided one-week pick-up window. At the end of the week, they still had not found a carrier and I had a flight out the next day. I asked a Montway Supervisor what would happen if they failed to arrange a carrier before my flight? He told me they would just cancel my order. Another option was to leave my $135,000 car with the keys hidden until they find a carrier. Finally, he told me that I should switch to an open carrier instead of enclosed". At this point I had no other choice. They found an open carrier and charged me over $200 more than their original quote.

Hello John, We apologize for the inconvenience. Within our terms and conditions and throughout the booking process, Montway transparently communicates with our customers that dates are estimated. While we do provide an estimated range of pick-up based on thousands of similar orders, the dates are not guaranteed as delays can happen for any reason. As the customer expressed there were no other options. We made a recommendation for open transport based on current route availability as to which the customer accepted. And was thereafter dispatched for current open transport rates. We urge customers to plan out appropriate contacts and secure back-up options in case of any delays at their points of pick-up and delivery.
