Montway was great at getting the setting up of the car (although when I booked it, it was higher than their original quote). They picked the car up and did an inspection. They outsourced this delivery (from Denver, CO to Jersey City, NJ) to Umbrella Transportation. They told me that they can schedule an early morning or after work delivery, since they understand that their customers work. When the car arrived for delivery, the transport company said they could not do early morning delivery or after work delivery. I had to race home and it was already getting dark. The car arrived FILTHY. I guess that is OK if the car is exposed and they drove through weather conditions. It was difficult to see if any issues with the car were there. A couple of days later, I had the car washed and noticed that there was a crack in the windshield. I called in to make a claim, took pictures, as they requested. I was then informed that because I waited a couple of days to make the claim, they would not honor the insurance policy and they rejected my claim, although the car literally sat in a garage for those days. The car also had some weird damage underneath. When delivered (in the dark), they said it was leaves. After noticing the crack, I checked the "leaves" and noticed that they damaged the bottom of the car. They also rejected that. This is very disappointing that they do not put the customer first and honor their insurance benefits. I am hoping they respond back to me and honor their word, but I would caution against using them. From the increased price they charged, to the delivery of a car that they damaged, to the unfair process of the insurance to fix this small damage, I would say "Buyer Beware". The next step is to lodge a complaint with the BBB and get lawyers involved.

Our booking agent honored the best competitive price that made sure we can get your vehicle shipped in a timely manner. As stated in our terms and conditions our dates are estimated and not guaranteed. Damages made to your vehicle need to be documented at the time of delivery. We also require any issues or damages to be reported within 24 hours from the delivery. Your vehicle was transported on an open hauler and may encounter rock chips to the windshield which is outside of the carriers' control. Unfortunately, rock chips, as well as the mechanical components of your vehicle, are not covered under a claim. The undercarriage and mechanical components are not required to be assessed by the carrier at the time of pickup or delivery. Only the external condition of the vehicle is documented. Our in-house claims team sent you the carriers' insurance information along with what is needed to open a claim. If you decide to make a claim, Montway Inc. does not have control over the claim process. The outcome of your claim will be determined by the insurance company.
