I am happy to report that my recent cross-country automobile shipping experience was a really good one. Jim Gozde of Mercury Auto Transport led me through the process, found a reputable shipper that matched my date timeframe and budget, and got the job done. I look forward to the next one! I will note that the timing of the process is not always exact. The shipper had been aiming to collect the car on a Thursday but came on a Wednesday evening to get it—not a problem on my end, but a reminder that the many factors that affect pick-up and delivery mean that you need to be a little flexible and generally available on both sides of the targeted time. One other thing learned: my street (a long cul de sac) turned out to be not a good one for a big rig car-hauling truck to stop and deliver. The drivers figured this out ahead of time, found a spot to deliver that was quite near, and called me to explain. Once again, job well done. Jim found a good team to do the work.
