This email is to report the damage incurred on my 2014 Jeep Compass during transportation provided by Max Art Transportation LLC. (photos attached in second email) as well as their behavior throughout the process. The original pickup of my cars was scheduled by Max Art Transportation LLC for June 24th but they did not show up until June 25th. Not a huge issue but still an inconvenience. I received a call on Tuesday, July 2 that my cars were going to arrive at the desired destination in Tampa, Florida at 7 PM. This is a small issue as I was driving myself from New Jersey to Tampa, Florida and now I had to rush to get there early. The car never arrived on Tuesday and I received a call that night stating they were running late and would arrive on Wednesday July 3rd as originally scheduled. Again, not a huge issue, however it was an inconvenience. When the cars were delivered there was significant damage to the Jeep as mentioned earlier. The spoiler was broken off and the driver claims it fell off during transportation and he did not have the missing part. There are also numerous scratches that start on the hood and run across the roof for the entire length of the car. When I asked what happened to the spoiler he claims it just fell off somewhere along the way but I have a hard time believing that because car parts don’t just fall off. It also seems that the scratches that run along the length of the car are related to the spoiler being ripped off. There is also piece of the roof rack that has separated from the car (photo attached in second email) I told the driver I was not willing to pay for services as there was extensive damage to the car and that is when he attempted to get in the car and drive it away. He also did not want to have the repairs done through insurance or Direct ship a car, so he offered a cash payout on the scene which I declined. He then proceeded to tell me he would purchase the part himself and install it himself which I also declined. I do not feel comfortable with him doing the repairs as he is not a certified body shop. When we were doing a final walk-through on the condition of both vehicles he would not agree to document that there were significant scratches from the hood and on the roof. When he documented the missing spoiler, he attempted to document it as loose but that is clearly not the case as the part is not attach the car nor does he have the part.
