.We used MVS to ship our daughter’s vehicle to Calgary from Ottawa in December. Having not ever shipped a vehicle before, I decided to check the reviews to see which provider to use. We chose MVS, despite the price being approximately $300 dollars more than the average we were quoted, based on the many positive reviews we read. The initial communication was okay. They answered our questions just fine- however, we did have some miscommunication about when it would be appropriate to drop off the vehicle. Once that was sorted out, we dropped the vehicle off at the designated place with no issues. Upon drop off, they did a cursory examination of the condition of the vehicle, removed the antenna, and made sure that we saw they had placed it in the glove box. I specifically asked if it would be okay to leave the plates on the vehicle and was told – not to worry –that they would be fine. Unfortunately, they were not fine. At some point during the 21 day journey, the plates were stolen, bolts and all. When the vehicle arrived in Calgary, my daughter was unable to pick it up as it is illegal to drive without plates. This created a major inconvenience and she was quite upset. Without the use of her vehicle she also had to cancel a scheduled vacation. She contacted the staff at MVS to make them aware of the situation and was told that someone would call her back. The return call never came. It took a further 17 days to obtain the Alberta license plate and documents required to take possession of the vehicle, which all the while, was left in an unattended lot exposed to the winter elements. In the end we are not all that overly impressed with our experience.

Hi Sue, Thank you for taking the time to post an honest and thorough review. I apologize for your plates going missing while in transport. I'm not sure where or how this could have happened but we have been working on a solution to make sure it doesn't happen again for future shipments. Warmest Regards
